To the point where he didn't want her to leave his house and to do that, he gave her a magic music box that bonded to her the first night she heard it.

Every time it was opened after that first time, she would immediately pass out until it was shut and she found a way to trick a maid into resetting it so she could escape. The maid is found sprawled on the bed and snoring by the ML iirc

And I remember that she could NOT sleep without it! She was at his estate for over a week and whenever she did something he didn't like or tried to escape he would not bring the music box and she would suffer all night wanting to sleep, laying in bed and comfortable and wide awake and he did that a few times.
